Increase the security and efficiency of your site with our integrated CCTV
The UK is currently utilising between 4 million and 5.9 million CCTV cameras. Including 750,000 in “sensitive locations” such as schools, hospitals and care homes according to a 2013 report from the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).
There is much controversy over this figure, often with calls for it to be reduced, but ultimately people need and like to feel safe and there is a correlating link between security surveillance and the feeling of safety. This is one of the reasons why CCTV has rapidly grown in presence and is now installed in varied locations ranging from domestic residences to city wide surveillance schemes.
More than just raising the public level of feeling safe, effective CCTV schemes are an invaluable source of crime detection and evidence for the police. For example, in 2009 95 per cent of Scotland Yard murder cases used CCTV footage as evidence.
Installing a high quality system at your establishment can increase how safe and valued your staff feel, protect your assets and furthermore in those unfortunate instances when something does go wrong, you will have indisputable video evidence at hand.
What else can CCTV systems offer?
High quality video footage combined with software and data can lead to much more than just pictures. Analytics have taken an integral role in safeguarding areas with high security measures as well as meeting specific security requirements from clients. Our security solutions are provided with 19 free analytics software.
Why use IDS CCTV security systems?

IP stands for ‘Internet Protocol’. The main benefit of an IP camera is that it offers a 1080p resolution which is essentially a full HD image. We have a variety of different IP cameras, including bullets, speed domes, fisheyes as well as covert pinhole cameras, which can cater to different projects and applications.
We work with industry leading brands designed to offer solutions for both large and small scale projects. Our entry level solutions are aimed at smaller projects, which typically demand a quicker turnaround. The range consists of 1.3MP to 2MP IP cameras with standalone recorders and easy to use phone apps for monitoring self-monitoring on the go. Whereas our larger integrated solutions are tailored to meet specifications which require a high level of integration with high resolution cameras
up to 12MP.
If your installation is new then IP is always the best answer, however on refurbishment projects, with existing cabling (coax), to move to IP maybe an investment too far or it simply may not be feasible at that time, you can then bridge the gap by using TVI.
Why use TVI?
Our TVI solutions allow existing coaxial cabling to connect a HD camera to provide a HD image. We would always recommend an IP installation, however a TVI solution can provide more functionality and quality than an analogue camera. It would however make sense to upgrade to an IP system at a later stage but until then, TVI is a viable solution.
An NVR is a Network Video Recorder. This device manages the software and recordings onsite. We offer a variety of NVRs ranging from standalone Linux based to Windows based NVRs, as well as NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems. However our primary focus is custom built PC based Hybrid NVRs that range in a variety of robust chassis. Customised systems give our clients the flexibility and versatility to expand and integrate their NVRs with multiple solutions such as CCTV, Access and ANPR on one NVR system.
Ordinarily our NVR’s support 32 cameras, however we have large scale software solution can support a 64 channel deployment with the ability to expand up to 128 channels. This expandable solution can be cost effective on larger projects. After discussing your individual requirements we will recommend the right recorder to meet
your project needs.
The cameras only provide the basis of your system. The software however is an integral part of the solution. Software enables you to manipulate data, integrate different solutions and provide video feeds and recordings, enhancing the ability of your CCTV system and in some case exploiting the data for more than just security needs.
